A. production jeep gets rolled out to some storage location
B. some time passes, as the Ordnance testers pull from storage location to testfor acceptance
C. Jeep is tested in about xx minutes or hours.
D. passing all tests, the jeep dataplate is stamped with DOD date of delivery and attached to glove box
E. #1 - the "4x4" stamping could have occured before the DOD was stamped
F. DOD was stamped by a Ford employee
G. Approval was given by a Government Ordnance employee
H. Non-passing vehicle gets rolled to a storage location and repaired and put back into the queue for testing (no data plate stamping yet)
